As a renter, I have used 3 Hansgrohe 85 showerheads for a combined time of 5y. They are not suited to handle hard water, are not durable, and can hurt you.1. All three have failed around the plastic spray selector rings, causing water to pour out through the side and not the nozzles. I think this is the result of mineral build up in the shower head itself.2. The showerheads are plastic or polymer coated in a thin layer of possibly copper or other metal and chromium. If these develop any corrosion, or get a dent that allows water between the chromium and substrate, the entire metal coating cracks, peels or otherwise delaminates from the handle.3. The thin layer of chromium metal is extremely sharp and can result in very strange injuries. My s/o brushed her thumb against the shower head, causing multiple metal shards to penetrate not under the fingernail, but through the top of her thumbnail into the nailbed. A doctor was required the drill into the top of the nail in an attempt to remove extremely thin shards which do not remain intact if you try to remove them.
