I read about bore conditioners for years but never bothered to try any.I finally decided to give this product a try. I used it on mytwo 1858 Remington revolvers and my Colt Walker. U used all threetoday to fire off about 50 rounds and the clean up after was easier thenbefore treating the barrels and cylinders with this product. Of course, withany black powder rifle or revolver, after you treat it with this stuff, when you next use ityou should run a dry patch into the barrel as well as the chambers on thecylinders for revolvers. The barrel seems to have far less fouling when using this productafter cleaning the gun. It also helps with regular rifles like my HS Precision Savage .300 Win Magand my 1910 vintage Swedish Mauser as well as a 1930 Persian Mauser, all of whichI used this stuff to treat their barrels. Clean up and copper fouling was a bit less thenbefore without using this product to treat the barrel after cleaning.It does help to reduce fouling of the barrel when used properly.
